Dopo un paio di giorni di riposo semi attivo, oggi sono andato all’ExCel Arena, con
un convenientissimo biglietto, 10 pounds per vari sport e accesso gratuito alla piu’ costosa metropolitana del mondo.
Quando ho letto che c’erano le finali del powerlifting, la mia priorita’, con tutto il tempo passato su una panca ai tempi dell’AVM, la mia prima e unica palestra a Legnano, non poteva che essere la finale delle donne della categoria fino a 67,5 kg. Continua a leggere

Devo riabituarmi alla vita normale, ho comprato nuove scarpe, quelle che avevo sono completamente finite ma nonostante buchi e scollamenti sono arrivate fino a qui, compro sempre le stesse da quasi quattro anni … un paio di pantaloncini … perchè voglio correre blandamente in questi invitanti parchi di Londra … fare shopping, camminare tra la gente, mi ha rilassato … ma la bici e la l’Africa un po’ mi mancano … Continua a leggere

I am on top of Shooters Hill … I see from the top the London Eye, the Big Ben, the Tower Bridge … the City is there waiting for me … like I was already for the arrival in Cairo the euphoria for the arrival cancels all the tiredness and all the small pains accumulated in these 8000 and more km … since the suburbs of London there are signs of the Olympics and Paralympics … what strikes me immediately is the number of cyclists and cycling paths … it is not by chance that the United Kingsom has won Tour de France and many medals in cycling … Wiggins, Froome, Cavendish are the top … having champions helps to create … and vice versa … at the traffic lights there are groups of urban cyclists who remind me of the start of a Sunday race … Continua a leggere
Ecco Londra!
Sono in cima alla Shooters Hill … vedo dall’alto il London Eye, il Big Ben, il Tower Bridge … la City è li che mi aspetta … come già per l’arrivo al Cairo l’euforia dell’arrivo cancella la stanchezza e tutti i dolorini accumulati in questi 8000 km e passa … fin dalla periferia di Londra ci sono segni delle Olimpiadi e delle Paralimpiadi … quello che mi colpisce subito è il numero di ciclisti e piste ciclabili … non sarà un caso che il Regno Unito ha vinto Tour de France e tantissime medaglie nel ciclismo … Wiggins, Froome, Cavendish sono i top … avere campioni aiuta a creare il movimento … e viceversa … ai semafori ci sono gruppi di ciclisti urbani che ricordano le partenze di una gara della domenica … Continua a leggere
