XV NEVER GIVE UP: MUNGU ROUND

It is raining on the second race of the XV edition!

mungu-round
The shortest race of the circuit and the most beloved by the youngest runners who despite the heavy rain are many.

Victor and Milika, late at the meeting point with the minibus for the Chipapa team, walked until they found a lift to Mungu school not to miss the race. Facing the ground they apologized to Coach Bornface who allowed them to participate to the race. After all the rain and all the km on foot, I think for the next races they will be the first to climb the bus from Chipapa!

The support at the Mungu Round is fantastic: all categories run separately and the teams sit at the football ground waiting to see the first runners in the race. As soon as they spot the first among the tall grass everybody start cheering, singing, running, clapping for the team mates.

The team from ZC, the kafue town compound, is among the loudest in the celebrations, with Mary Mwanza second Junior Girls and Andrew Nkauso third Junior Boy. It is the first podium of the ZC team this year and Coach Moses, who just last month finished his KIDS ATHLETICS training at OYDC, is really proud! And to tell the truth so am I, it is a good result for Sport2build, we have identifies this new coach less than a year ago and he is very committees and has completed successfully some athletics trainings organized by Zambia Athletic Amateur Association (ZAAA).
